J & J Excavating and Trucking has an immediate opening for a Loader Operator. Must be willing to perform manual labor when needed. All equipment operators must always follow company and governmental safety guidelines. The ability to operate other equipment is a plus.
Loader Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
· Fully understand how to safely operate equipment
· Inspect large equipment before and after use to ensure they are working properly
· Communicate with dispatch and fellow employees as needed
· Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
· Detailed tracking and reporting of working hours and job locations
· Adhere to company rules and regulations
· Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
· Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
· Always make safety a priority
· All pit personnel are expected to help around the crusher and screen plant
· Assist with light mechanical preservation and maintenance of screens, plants, and machinery
· Must be willing and able to travel with the crusher as needed.
Loader Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
· MSHA Certified
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 3+ years of experience with loader operations, gravel pits and loading trucks
· Knowledge of proper operation of loader as well as safety standards
· Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
· Must pass a background check and drug test (these are done pre-hire and randomly throughout employment)
Must have steel-toed or composite boots on first day of work.
