1972 Honda CT90 "Trail 90", mfg date 07/72, originally a Forest Service rig purchased originally from "Honda Cycle Centre Missoula, MT" with sticker on the front fender (rmember when they were on Reserve, where Lyman Motors is now? I do). Some engraved FS inventory IDs to show for it including key tag, with oversize rear sprocket for gear-down that makes low range even more amazingly like a mountain goat than original. Runs great but carb has a drip so I turn off fuel when not riding, that is why the engine is dirty on top. Runs great and starts easy. Have a brand new seat cover for it, not installed. Muffler is NOT rusted out like some are. The bad is that the FS managed to bend the rear fender, which is integrated into the bike, they painted over it with a sloppy paint job, so rear fender and taillight are crooked but could be fixed with the right skills. I like the Forest Service character it adds. Tail light is not original and is off a slightly older model, I have the original with the lens was broken out which is why this one is on there.
Everything works, does not use any oil as far as I can tell, I ride it around the farm and never have to add any, changed yearly. I have owned since 1995, used it for back country prospecting and hunting back then, last licensed in 1999, clear MT title in hand.
Firm price, this is the story and is what it is and worth to me, the dual range will put the "new" version to complete shame on the steep trails... 300R17 full knobby on back, original tire on front.
