Looking for a reliable handyperson to be on-call for occasional small jobs across two duplexes I own in Missoula. This is not a regular schedule, no set hours, no guaranteed weekly work. Some months there may be nothing, other months a few small tasks. Good fit for someone who already has other work and wants occasional extra jobs nearby, or someone semi-retired.
What this might look like:
Small repairs as they come up. Touch-up paint, caulking, fixture swaps, minor carpentry, that kind of thing. No licensed trade work, we hire separately for electrical and plumbing.
Occasionally showing a unit to a prospective tenant when we have a vacancy. Flexible timing, you would coordinate directly with us.
Seasonal check-ins or walkthroughs a few times a year.
What we are looking for:
Comfortable with basic home repairs, has their own tools, reliable communication, Missoula-based, and okay with sporadic, unpredictable work.
This is a 1099 contractor arrangement, paid per task or by the hour depending on the job.
If interested, send a short note about your experience with this kind of work, how you typically charge for jobs like this, and how you structure your schedule, since reliability on an irregular basis matters more here than full availability.
