The Construction/Excavation Laborer is an essential member of the construction crew responsible for performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including digging, grading, site preparation, and general labor. This role supports equipment operators and skilled trades workers while helping ensure job sites remain clean, safe, and ready for construction, excavation, or utility installation projects.
- Dig, spread, and level dirt, gravel, and other materials using hand tools (shovels, picks, rakes).
- Assist in trenching and backfilling operations.
- Support equipment operators by clearing debris and maintaining safe work zones.
- Perform fine grading and detail work where machinery cannot reach.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
