The color blue does not breed true. Breeding two blue Ameraucanas will give blues as well as blacks and splashes.
All of our breeding roos are friendly with kids. Hens lay 100% blue or turquoise eggs.
Ameraucanas are very cold hardy and are good foragers. They rarely go broody, but when they do they make excellent mothers! This is one our favorite breeds for raising in Montana!
Our Ameraucanas are bred with a primary focus on friendliness, hardiness and production. Although we are also breeding toward the breed standard, but we get a few in each hatch that have either off type colors or no ear muffs. We've also seen a lot of larger pea combs on our roosters.
Our breeders are raised on pasture with non-GMO grain/seeds.
Please note that I cannot make any guarantee of hatch rate. It will depend on proper incubation temperature, humidity and turning. I do regularly hatch some in my own incubator to ensure the eggs are fertile.
