Heritage Meat Chicks, Black Star males. Our Black Stars are bred from quality dual-purpose stock, so they grow larger than the typical commercial hatchery stock. The black chicks in the photo are Black Stars.

$1.00 ea., or $0.75 ea. if you buy the entire week's hatch (a week's hatch can range from 30-100 chicks depending on how many eggs we have in the incubators that week).

Our Black Star males dress out at approximately 4-5 lbs. at 5 months old when fed a free-choice quality meat-bird-type feed. They are excellent foragers and can get a substantial amount of feed from range.
