Market on Front is seeking a highly motivated, team-driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen and continue building upon our thoughtful, high-quality menu. We are a fast-paced, community-focused restaurant with a strong commitment to quality, consistency, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily kitchen operations with efficiency and professionalism
- Lead, manage, and support kitchen staff
- Create weekly schedules and ensure proper coverage
- Maintain food costs and inventory control using MarginEdge
- Order ingredients, monitor waste, and track profitability
- Ensure all menu items meet established quality and presentation standards
- Foster a positive kitchen culture rooted in accountability, communication, and respect
- Collaborate with management on menu development and daily specials
- Work closely with the catering manager to ensure customer expectations are met for quality and presentation
Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Lead Cook
- Familiarity with MarginEdge (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and delegate
- Demonstrated success in food cost control and operational efficiency
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- Highly organized, reliable, and committed to high standards of quality
