If you have a child that would like to hunt and dont have the resources or time to do so, let me know. I would love to take your child on his or her first hunt. I will teach every aspect of hunting and conservation including wilderness first aid, game identification, track Identification, scouting, shooting and shot setup and placement, rules and regulations, ethics, how to field dress and butcher an animal properly, I will teach them how to read a gps and what to do in case they get lost, how to make a fire. I will take them out on hikes, I will take them antler shed hunting also. I do urge parents to try and be involved in some parts of this like butchering but is not necessary. There are no age requirements other than they must be 12 years old. Worried about them getting injured? We will be fully insured when we go out for any event including any training or hunting we do. Worried about them getting lost? I have a GPS I take with me every time. I have firearms and almost anything else you can think of. If you cannot afford tags or licenses for your child I am working on getting a scholarship set up specifically for that. Also this is a free program and is based on volunteers, that said I dont take any sort of payments or tips. If you would like to donate to the first hunt foundation I can get you in touch with the state coordinator. Lets get those kiddos out and learn about wildlife management, conservation and safe hunting practices. I also want to say that we are looking for more mentors across the state so if you know someone that might be interested in being a mentor have them get ahold of me.
