Beautiful and well built custom drift boat. The bottom is of the boat 1/2 inch marine grade mahogany reinforced with 2 full layers of 10 oz fiberglass, system 3 epoxy, marine epoxy paint and a final finish coat of paint mixed with graphite powder to make it slick . There are scratches to be sure but none of them break the fiberglass. The sides of the hull are 3/8 inch reinforced with one layer of 6 oz. fiberglass. All the joints are stitch and glue (epoxy) reinforced with biaxial fiberglass tape then epoxy and epoxy paint.
This is a light boat (it weighs ~ 275 lbs) and very quick to maneuver. It is perfect for 2 people one rowing, one casting or or three people when plugging salmon and steelhead.
The trailer axles have bearing buddies and have been greased periodically but I’ve never put the hubs in the water . You don’t need to to easily get the boat on and off the trailer. The spare has never been on the ground and there is a ton of wear left on the others.
