This massive set was limited to 2500 copies and signed by both author and illustrator. First part is text by Michener with woodcuts and lithographs by Jack Levine. Part Two is a reproduction of Levine's sketchbook with pochoir and phototype process reproductions of Levine's watercolors, gouaches and drawings. The separate portfolios are housed in a French silk clamshell box with goatskin closure. Original price was $600.00 back in 1979.
