This is a very nice oil painting of what appears to be a Grecian Girl Getting Water at the Well on heavy canvas done by E. B. Guthrie in the year 1902.. The size of the painting is 6' 10" by 5' 3 1/2". We had a large stairwell where it looked fantastic but now that we are in a smaller house, it is time to get rid of it. It could definitely use a good cleaning because I am sure it has never been cleaned.
If you have a large home, especially one of these big two-story homes with a large empty wall by a staircase, this would be a beautiful item to fill that space. It already has a piece of wood attached to the top which only requires 2 screws to attach it to the wall. We have had this painting for approx. 40 years.
Must be seen to appreciate.
Great Christmas gift.
